Erik has been performing all of his life in some capacity, whether it be dancing in the English classes he taught in Asia, terrorizing his co-workers over the phone with boss imitations, or spontaneously singing at parties. His early “audiences” received his work with anything from laughter to throwing beer at him. In March, 2013, he took a drop-in improv class at Leela in San Francisco: it was love at first scene! Since then Erik has been studying the craft with Leela’s talented staff and performers, with additional training through workshops with David Razowski, Rachel Hamilton, and Marcus Sams. Erik works in mobile application design and development to pay his San Francisco rent. When he’s not on stage, you’ll likely find him either on a yoga mat or pondering the next exotic destination from which to get a passport stamp.
