ARIE LEVINE
Performer

Bio
Arie is an actor, improvisor, teacher and Bay Area native. After a childhood of theatrical endeavors including the most Oakland-tastic production of The Sound of Music, being shorter than munchkins in The Wizard of Oz, and never starring in Annie, Arie found fell in love with improv at Contra Costa Civic Theater (CCCT) in El Cerrito. She honed her improv skills at CCCT’s summer drama camp as a camper and later a director, and has been teaching kids how to be silly on stage for the past 8 summers. In college at Wesleyan University, Arie was a member of Desperate Measures, a short form improv comedy troupe and was subjected to the annual torture of hosting the 24 Hour Improv Show. In May ’11, she graduated with a degree in Theatre and Religion and hightailed it back to the Bay. She has studied improv at San Francisco Comedy College and BATS and is quite excited to be part of Leela this spring.
