Bio
Allyson has been performing and studying improvisation for more than a decade. Her friend signed her up for a class at Second City in Chicago and after that, she was hooked. Stinchfield went through all of Chicago's improv schools of thought, including Second City, ImprovOlympic and Annoyance Theater. She played on teams at ImprovOlympic and at The Playground and was part of a two-woman comedy show, Dawn & Ally. They wrote silly songs together about the joy of relationships between humans. She met Leela players after living in San Francisco too many years without improv. She feels fortunate to get to play with them. Also fortunate to have once been directed by Chicago improviser T.J. Jagodowski and coached by 30 Rock's John Lutz. She studies with solo writer and performer Ann Randolph today. Everything she learns, she uses in the business world, except for going into characters. At least not in client meetings. She recommends all people, no matter their field, sign up for an improv 101 class. Or at least read a book on the topic. It helps.
